D R A F T
Mr. Lance Clarke
Community Development Dept.
130 S. Galena St.
Aspen, CO 81611
RE: Markalunas Major Plat Amendment,
Parcel ID# 2729-201-01-023
Dear Mr. Clarke:
In response to your request for our input, the Redstone Community
Association (RCA) concurs with the Board of County Commissioners'
determination of May 28, 1997 that the request for exemption to
allow re-subdivision of the Markalunas' property into three lots,
instead of two, should be denied.
The RCA encourages lower density land usage. In this situation
we would not disagree the Markalunas' two lots being reconfigured
into one. However, the current request to subdivide two lots
into three lots would result in higher density. This would not
be in keeping with the Redstone Master Plan nor the community's
vision for its future.
Thank you for asking for our input. Pleas advise us of any
future meetings or discussions concerning this issue, so the
Redstone community can be represented.
Sincerely,
Jim Hornsby,
President, RCA
