Mr. Kevin Riordan <br />Mr. Steve Coupal <br />March 3, 1998 <br />Page - 3 - <br />Bankruptcy Trustee by a Limited Liability Company (LLC) with the <br />unpaid portion of the $3,000,000 reclamation fund to be paid and <br />disbursed by the Bankruptcy Trustee for the purpose of completing <br />reclamation according to the approved Plan and for repair, <br />development and maintenance of facilities necessary or useful in <br />the proposed recreation program. <br />This program contemplates securing approval of the <br />Forest Service of Special Use Permits for restricted use of roads <br />and trails on a fee basis with maintenance, and if need be, for <br />reclamation, from user fees and from monies held by the <br />Bankruptcy Trustee. <br />Initially, this would contemplate use of the existing <br />parking lot at the Preparation Plant site, winter activities such <br />as are being proposed by Jef Aldrich and the repair, and at least <br />partial rehabilitation, of the Lamphouse as well as guided jeep <br />tours to the Dutch Creek No. 2 mine site. <br />Pending further discussion of this suggested planning <br />effort, we should like to put further federal acquisition of the <br />Prep Plant land in suspension. <br />RD /lta <br />Sincerely, <br />MID - CONTINENT MINERALS CORPORATION <br />By <br />Ebert Del ey <br />Presid ht <br />
