The stockpile and any adjacent disturbances <br />will be revegetated as specified in Task 4, Revegetation. <br />Topsoil will be spread to a depth of six inches (6 ") over the entire area affected by operations <br />conducted on the north slope of the Old Refuse Pile during performance of Task 2, Earth <br />Work. Upon completion of the topsoil application, the surface of the soil shall be left in a <br />roughened condition. <br />CONTRACTOR will create a minimum of 20 small bumps or humps per acre on the slope. <br />These features will be constructed in a random pattern across the slope. These bumps or <br />humps will be the width of a dozer blade by six to eight inches (6" to 8 ") in height. The axis <br />of these features will be constructed perpendicular to the fall of the slope. <br />Site and material conditions are such that extremely dusty conditions may result from the <br />excavation, hauling and deposition of refuse and topsoil materials. PROJECT MANAGER <br />may require CONTRACTOR to implement a dust control procedures throughout the project <br />area. Such practices, such as applying water to work areas and roadways, are considered to be <br />normal construction practices, and shall not result in additional expense to OWNER. <br />Measurement and Payment <br />There will be no measurement for payment. Payment for this task will be reflected in a lump <br />sum bid under Item 3 on the Bid Schedule. This lump sum bid will cover all costs for removal <br />of stockpiled topsoil, and distribution of topsoil onto the affected areas of the Old Refuse Pile. <br />Such payment shall be considered full compensation for all labor, materials, equipment and all <br />other items necessary and incidental to the placement of topsoil as directed and described in the <br />specifications. Payment for this task will be made only for the unit price shown under Item 3 <br />of the Bid Schedule. Payment shall be as this task is completed and approved by the <br />PROJECT MANAGER. <br />TASK 4 REVEGETATION <br />All areas disturbed during reclamation work and any other areas specified in these Special <br />Conditions will be revegetated according to the Revegetation Specifications in the General Bid <br />Specifications. Commercial fertilizer is required for this project, and will be supplied by <br />CONTRACTOR.
