C i ' = - a _ FPUFFEPT 11ELR[1E TEL • '-'
a schedule under which the seed and mulching would be carried out:
between September 15 and October 15, 1992 , as required by your
letter. This page has been revised to include this schedule.
l n addition, the NOV (C-91-018) had specified use of straw bale
dike or silt fencing along specified portions of the road. it
occurs to me that berms might be a feasible alternative in some
locations, and that depressions , or b.a.t. ponds could be useful as
well . A paragraph has been added to indicate that these
alternative methods for stabilization/siltation control may be
employed as necessary and wherever feasible and practicable,
in
areas of where slope conditions are clearly unfavorable for
establishment of vegetative cover. These include silt fencing,
terming, straw bale check dams and b.a.t. ponds .
The NOV had specified areas along the roads at which these efforts
would be made, and T gave included that list, for reference, as an
attachment to this submittal , although I did not think it necessary
to include the list in the permit itself. As to timing, I have
indicated that these measures will be taken as snowmelt allows
access to the roads. However, I am uncertain, given other
viiJ ntenance requirements for the roads and ditches, and the
passibility of late snowmelt, that a deadline of August l allows
sufficient time for this work to be completed.
Yours truly,
Diane Delaney
Mid-Continent Resources ---
