' Road E. Roaa A, Rock Tunnel S du
16. Road f1 i 1 i from the sdi tchac'< ac Z to the point wh_r-a
North Fork of Dutch Cree:< is cu iver:ed unaer the Lamp House fi l l dry i :i;
directly into the Creek, with no vegetative buffer. Similar conditions
exist on Road A for several hundred feet below its junction with the Rock
Tunnel Refuse Access Road, and along the Rock Tunnel Refuse Access Road
from Road A to the opposite side of the large culvert on the South Fork
of Dutch Creek. The same situation exists immediately below the
Coal Creek culvert at the entrance to the washpiant/facilities area,
along a segment of the main access road. In each of these cases , the
road fill is comprised of dark grey weathered shale which, in combination
with the steep slopes would make successful vegetation establishment very
unlikely.
8194F/scg
—3—
