Compliance With Mine Plan <br />N - Support Facilities Not On -site <br />N - Other <br />N - Special Categories Of Mining <br />R - Processing Waste <br />N - Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />INTRODUCTION - This was a complete inspection of the Bowie No. 2 Mine conducted by Brock Bowles of <br />the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety on May 8, 2012. Bill Bear of Bowie Resources, <br />LLC was present for the inspection. Weather conditions were clear and warm and the ground conditions <br />were dry. The longwall miner was being moved at the time of this inspection and was expected to be mining <br />again within the next two days. The coal stockpiles were very low. <br />AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION — Rule 4.17: <br />The coal pile on the D -Bench was empty and there was a small amount of coal on the coal stockpile pad. <br />Coal was being washed in the wash plant and gob was being hauled to gob pile 2 at the time of this inspection. <br />There were no signs of fugitive dust on site or off. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS — Rule 5.02.4(1): <br />All required records were on file and available for review at the BRL office. See the attached Availability <br />of Records checklist. <br />EXPLOSIVES — Rule 4.08 <br />Distance Prohibitions 4.08.4; Warnings 4.08.4; Control of Adverse Effects 4.08.4: <br />The area around the detonation cap and explosive locker was free of debris and vegetation. <br />FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18: <br />Within the permit boundary, several different species were seen.
