TO: Mid-Continent Resources , Inc. <br /> DATE: January 14, 1983 <br /> PAGE: - 3 - <br /> benches. We assume that the test areas would be constructed by <br /> Mid-Continent crews and under the supervision of Mid-Continent <br /> staff; GEO-HYDRO personnel would be available on an as-needed <br /> basis. <br /> 2-C: REPORT. After the construction of the test areas , a report <br /> would be prepared for the submittal to MLRD. In this report, <br /> results of the analyses and the design of the test areas would <br /> be presented. As-built design drawings would be prepared if the <br /> construction is different from the design. The report would pre- <br /> sent the reasons for the test areas , discuss potential re- <br /> clamation procedures and problems . It would also present recom- <br /> mendations for further,.monitoring and annual reviews of stabili- <br /> zation test areas during the years 1985 - 1987 . <br /> PHASE 3 - MONITORING OF TEST AREAS PERFORMANCE <br /> 3-A: ANNUAL REVIEWS. Individual test areas would be reviewed an- <br /> nually and their performance evaluated. The evaluation would be <br /> based on periodical inspections by Mid-Continent staff and GEO- <br /> HYDRO representatives . <br /> 3-B: FINAL-REPORT. Progress reports on the test areas ' performance <br /> wou d be prepared in yearly intervals ; a final report summarizing <br /> the experience gained from the test areas would be prepared for <br /> MLRD before the end of 1987. <br /> PERSONNEL <br /> The proposed work would' be performed under the direction and with <br /> the participation of Mr. Michal Bukovansky, senior engineering <br /> geologist and president of GEO-HYDRO Consulting. He would be as- <br /> sisted by Mr. Graeme Major, senior geotechnical engineer , and by <br /> Ms . Nancy Dessenberger, geotechnical engineer. All this personnel <br /> is known to Mid-Continent Resources from previous work performed <br /> by them in the Coal Basin 2lines area. <br /> PERTINENT EXPERIENCE <br /> GEO-HYDRO has assisted numerous coal companies in Colorado with <br /> many projects of a very similar or identical character. THe have <br /> performed detailed geotechnical mapping of mine benches and roads <br /> at the Colorado Westmoreland Orchard Valley Mine , the ARCO ' s <br /> Mt. Gunnison Mine and the Sheridan Enterprises Munger Canyon Mire . <br /> We have designed detailed reclaimed configurations for surface <br />
