SECTION 6 - SEVERE EROSION AREA <br /> GENERAL: Erosion problems are common in the Coal Basin area. They <br /> disturb natural ground, surfaces of cuts and fills; they <br /> create rilling , gullying , sloughing and undercutting . <br /> RECLAMATOIN CONCEPT: Prevent or reduce the erosion problems . <br /> METHODS OF RECLAMATION: Improve surface drainage by changing <br /> natural channels wherever feasible. Use riprap such as <br /> basaltic boulder, Mesaverde sandstone and selected types <br /> of Mancos Shale. <br /> ANALYTICAL CONSIDERATIONS: Consider different thickness of riprap <br /> for different slopes. <br /> PROPOSED LOCATION: Any location along the haul road . <br />
