Box 158 <br /> Carbondale, CO 81623 <br /> Re: Technical Revision - Temporary Disposal of Coal Refuse at the Rock <br /> Tunnel Waste Disposal Pile - File No. C-017-81 <br /> Dear Mr. Bowman: <br /> Upon reviewing the above referenced technical revision request, the staff has <br /> determined that it is incomplete under the Colorado Surface Coal Mining <br /> Reclamation Act, C.R.S. 1973, 34-33.101 et seq. <br /> The following information must be submitted in order for the technical <br /> revision to be deemed complete for the purposes of filing: <br /> A detailed operations plan for the rock tunnel must be submitted. <br /> 1 ) This must include a description of the amount of each type of <br /> waste material to be placed in the pile; <br /> 2) Designs for the revised waste pile; <br /> 3) A new stability analysis for the pile; <br /> 4) A description of how and where the coal processing waste will be <br /> disposed; <br /> 5) Any changes in the topsoil removal plan; <br /> 6) Any changes in the reclamation plan; <br /> 7) A revised description of the probable hydrologic consequences of <br /> additional waste disposal ; and <br /> 8) A detailed estimate of the increase in reclamation costs. <br /> If you have any questions concerning this matter, please call me. <br /> Si cerely, <br /> J' Herron <br /> Red mation Specialist <br /> JH/baw <br /> Doc.
