Discussion of each item or Sub-issue under that numbered
concern is provided by Sunnyside Gold Corporation (SGC) along with
any clarifications required of. the Divisions perception based
Previous correspondence as well as SGC' s proposals for addressing
the issues. Since partial approval of TR-14 for construction of
the Brenneman bulkheads is approved, conditioned upon meeting
construction specifications and other agreed upon conditions, this
letter primarily focuses upon the American Tunnel and Terry Tunnel
bulkheads.
I. Continuing Discharge After Bulkhead Placement
a) American Tunnel bulkhead location
The proposed location of the American Tunnel bulkhead in
relation to Sunnyside Mine workings and the flow
Proportion originating out bye of the proposed site,
property not owned by Sunnyside Gold, is clarified below.
The Simon Hydro-Search report (February 11, 1992)
references "track repair footages" as marked on the wall
of the American Tunnel and the TR-14 submittal refers to
the American Tunnel bulkhead site as being "approximately
7950 feet from the portal". These location references
are not the same. The "track repair foot-ages" are
painted numbers on the rib of the American Tunnel used by
the track crew during operation for visual orientation or
reference. They do not correlate to actual distances
from any reference point. The 7950 foot distance in the
TR-14 submittal is based on SGC survey point 4T-P3. AT-
P3 is 145 feet outbye of the hardrock contact (brow) at
the portal .
