Trees will be planted around edges of the
pond and reclaimed land will be covered with 6 -10 inches of topsoil and reseeded.
Pond edges will be replaced with a loader and shaped with an excavator or dozer.
B) Post mining uses will be wildlife habitat and livestock grazing. After placing and shaping of reclaimed
land, 6 -10 inches of topsoil will be spread across reclaimed surfaces and will be
seeded as follows per soil conservation office:
Materials Handling:
1) Grading of final topography shall be done with slopes of no
steeper than 3:1 with irregular slopes to promote wildlife habitat.
2) Backfill shall be placed with loaders and haul trucks and
compacted to stabilize slopes.
3) All high walls shall be graded to no steeper than a 3:1 slope and
seeded to prevent erosion. Boundaries will be surrounded by slit
fence to prevent offsite erosion.
7) All slopes to be graded no steeper than 3:1
10) All material will be handled with care as to insure no release of
pollutants in mine area.
11) No unauthorized release of pollutants shall occur.
D) 1) Topsoil from the affected area will be segregated in stockpiles grade and
seeded to promote preservation.
2) Woody vegetation when practical will be moved to reclaimed areas and
replanted to promote growth.
