There was no operator representative <br />present during the inspection. Weather conditions were sunny and warm. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, <br />4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring <br />4.05.13; Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />Ground conditions were dry throughout the site. There has not been significant measurable precipitation in the <br />area for several months. All of the remaining site sedimentation ponds including 6, 9, 10, 11, and 13 are dry. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE: <br />All mine site locations and support facility areas appeared stable and no significant erosion or other problems were <br />identified during this partial inspection. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />The South Portal area was inspected to view the location of minor new disturbance associated with the recent <br />installation of a 2 inch natural gas line. The installation of the gas line re- disturbed an area approximately 240 feet <br />long by 5 feet wide. The installation of the gas line across reclaimed land was approved with MR -77 in April. <br />Some coaly material and cobbles were displaced with the installation. This may require some final grading work <br />prior to re- seeding with the approved permanent seed mixture. Attached Photo No. 1 shows the lower end of the <br />RSRDA and former Pond 8 location prior to the pipeline installation.
