File No . C-017-81
Dear Jim,
Enclosed are the maps and specifications for three addi-
tional 1000-ton storage bins and a conveyor belt system to be
used for storage and blending coal. The three bins and the
greater part of the conveyor belt system are inside the wash
plant drainage system. The conveyor belts over Coal Creek
will be covered on top, and have solid pans underneath. The
total length of all belts (under the four bins and across
Coal Creek) is 560'+; there will be one transfer point and one
bin added. The other two bins came from No. 5 Mine and No. 4
Mine, respectively.
The additional bond requirement would be $10, 000, which
would include the reclamation of the transfer pad across Coal
Creek (0. 11 acres) .
Construction would be as follows :
1. Bin No. 1 came from No. 5 Mine and would be completed
first .
2 . Bin No. 2 would come from No. 4 Mine and would be
completed secondly.
3. Bin No. 3 would come from Carbondale (it ' s on the
ground, in pieces) .
4. Most of the belt rollers and trusses will come from
surplus parts from No. 4 and No. 5 Mines.
