If the bid is telephoned, a hard copy of the bid MUST also be mailed to the Division of Minerals and Geology by 4:00 p.m on July 8, 1997, Award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder based on the lowest Unit Price, and on ability to meet other specifications, conditions,and requirements Identified herein. Delivery will be a factor in the award of business. The vendor shall furnish a signed statement certifying that the seed is from a lot that has been tested,within the nine months Immediately prior to delivery, by a recognized seed testing laboratory to certify the guaranteed percentage of germination of the seed lot. The agency(Division of Minerals and Geology) reserves the right to inspect the seed to be mixed and to monitor the mixing process,on site, at the time it is mixed. The vendor shall notify the agency(Jim McArdle or Yvonne Brannon) (303) 866-3567 at least one week vrlor to mixing to allow the agency the opportunity to arrange for inspection of the seed and monitoring of the mixing process by a representative of the agency. The computations for quantity of seed required shall be based on the percent of certified purity and percent of certified germinationi The formula used for determining thl'p quantity of Pure Live Seed (PLS) shall be: Pounds of Seed X(Percent Purity X Percent Germination)= Pounds of Pure Live Seed (PLS). The seed supplier shall compensate for the percentage of purity or germination of the seed supplied by fumishing and supplying sufficient seed to equal the specified pure live seed requirement.
