P
O
WESTERN STATES
Reclamation, Inc.
a •
11730 Wadsworth Blvd Broomfield, Colorado 80020 • (303) 469 1986
September 4, 1997
FAX NO: (970) 241-1516
Mr. Steve Renner
STATE OF COLORADO
Division of Minerals and Geology
2148 Broadway, Unit#C-5
Grand Junction, CO 81503
RE: Coal Basin Mine 4 Revegetation
Project Schedule
Dear Steve:
I was sitting down this morning to review the schedule which was generated by another
office member regarding the Coal Basin Mine and realized that there were numerous
mistakes in the start and stop times as reflected on the schedule dated September 3,
1997. Please disregard this schedule, as it is inaccurate. As soon as I noticed conflicts
with the schedule, you and I had talked via phone. I chuckled when you said a letter
would be coming across my desk via fax which indicated severe conflicts with this
schedule. It was not my intention to give you a massive coronary with incorrect
information.
Please review the revised schedule which I think meets both Minerals and Geology and
Western States' needs on this project. Currently we show completing the project by
September 30, 1997, pending any weather days. The schedule is based on working
seven (7) days a week and Western States assumes responsibility for overtime and/or
for rotating personnel to accomplish this task.
This schedule reflects starting some of the seeding prior to collection of the three
different species on site (calamagrostis, senecio, and aster). We feel that the schedule
requires starting the hydroseeding process as soon as possible. Therefore, we ask that
the initial hydroseeding not be delayed while we are in the process of hand collecting the
three species.
