attached to this Invitation for Bid. This map depicts the locations of the structures which
were located within the Project Area, as represented by Mid- Continent Resources to the
Division of Minerals and Geology.
Certain concrete structures will not be removed during performance of this Project.
These structures are the wing walls associated with the two large culverted crossings of
Coal Creek, the concrete ditch located above and immediately south of Coal Creek, the
Dutch Creek Flume.
Disposal
Except as otherwise described in this Invitation to Bid, all rubble and assorted debris,
including metallic materials, miscellaneous trash, debris and scrap encountered in the
project area will be removed and placed with the building rubble at the designated
disposal areas so that no rubble or debris remain at the work areas except at the
disposal areas. Scrap wood materials shall be segregated from other debris and
stockpiled in a location designated by PROJECT MANAGER.
The rubble generated as a result of the demolition process, including all other rubble,
trash and debris, shall be placed against the designated back walls and cuts, and shall
be evenly spread at the base of these features for the length of the disposal area (Map
3, Project Area). The rubble shall be placed as tightly as possible within the disposal
area(s), which shall not exceed a height of forty five feet (45') as measured from the base
of the disposal site on the northern edge. The outslopes established by disposal of the
rubble may not exceed 3.5H: 1V upon completion of the Project. A roadway passable by
a minimum of a 5 cubic yard end dump truck, at a grade not to exceed 5 %, must be
established up the rubble piles. A flat area sufficient in size for the specified truck to turn
around at the top of each disposal site without backing must also be created. This must
be completed by the end of the disposal process.
Measurement and Payment
There will be no measurement for payment. Payment for this task will be reflected in a
lump sum bid under Item 2 on the Bid Schedule. This lump sum bid will cover all costs
for structural demolition and removal of rubble and debris from each work area,
described above, to the disposal areas. Payment shall be as this task is completed and
approved by the PROJECT MANAGER..
TASK 3 SEDIMENT CONTAINMENT MEASURES
It is the responsibility of CONTRACTOR to ensure that the integrity of the existing
sediment control system located within the Project Area is maintained. Drainage ditches
9
