structure.
Rubble generated through the demolition process shall be disposed
of at the Central Work Area disposal site, which is located
immediately south of the demolition corridor. The perimeter of the
disposal area shall be marked in the field by PROJECT MANAGER.
The rubble generated as a result of the demolition process,
including all other rubble, trash and debris, shall be placed
against the back wall of the disposal area, and shall be evenly
spread at the base of the feature for the length of the disposal
area. The rubble shall be placed as tightly as possible within the
disposal area. The height of the rubble, upon completion of the
disposal process, shall not exceed twenty feet (20') as measured
from ground surface at the southern most extent of the disposal
area. The disposal area shall be constructed so that upon
completion, the side slopes of the rubble do not exceed 5H:1V on
the north slope, 4H:1V on the east slope and 3H:1V on the west
slope. Rubble shall be deposited in the disposal area in such a
manner so that void spaces are minimized, and so that the top of
the rubble is level. No piece of rubble or debris may exceed a
height of eighteen inches (18 ") above the mean elevation of the
surrounding material.
Materials targeted for demolition which lie within the footprint of
the disposal area do not need to be demolished unless any such
material, structure foundation or pad exceeds the height of the
rubble which surrounds it upon completion of Task 2, Demolition.
East Work Area
All concrete, block wall, and asphaltic materials as well as
miscellaneous debris and materials located within the designated
demolition area will be demolished and transported to the Central
Work Area disposal site. At least three significant buildings had
been located within this work area. A footer which is not
associated with a mapped building has been observed at the eastern
portion of the work area. Asphalt has been observed in many
portions of the work area. All structures, foundations, pads and
footers shall be excavated to a depth of three feet (3') below
ground level as measured from ground surface immediately adjacent
to each structure.
Rubble generated as a result of the demolition in the East Work
Area shall be transported to the Central Work Area for disposal.
Disposal of the rubble from this work area shall conform to the
disposal area construction requirements described in the Central
Work Area description, above.
Measurement and Payment
There will be no measurement for payment. Payment for this task
4
