Mine 5 Fan Vicinity `
The Mine 5 Fan outslope is located due north, and across a canyon from Mine 3. This site is
relatively inaccessible, as the fan access road and Road G having been previously reclaimed.
The material at this site appears to be relatively fine grained in nature, however the slope is
heavily gullied. Approximately 2.4 acres of outslope exist at this site.
Road D Slopes
Road D, excepting the upper-most one half (1/2) mile, is accessible by vehicle via an unreclaimed
dirt road. The upper-most one half(1/2) mile has been previously reclaimed. The cut and fill
slopes requiring revegetation are discontinuous in nature, but are generally located along the
upper three quarters (3/4) of the road. It is estimated that 3.4 acres of cut slopes and 8.9 acres
of fill slopes are subject to this Project.
Road D-A
Road D-A is located between Mines 1 and 2 up slope from Road D. This road has been
previously reclaimed. The majority of the slope in need of revegetation efforts is located near
Mine 2, and just below(down slope of) Road D-A. It is estimated that 2.2 acres of steep fill
slopes are subject to this Project.
Road E Slopes
The Road E slopes exhibit the general characteristics described in the definitions, above.
Approximately 1.7 acres of cut slopes and 3.5 acres of fill sloi are subject to this Project. The
majority of the slopes are located on the upper one half (1/z) oT 1)ad E, which has been
previously reclaimed.
Road F Slopes
It is estimated that 0.4 acres of cut slopes and 1.2 acres of fill slopes are subject to this Project
adjacent to the previously reclaimed Road F. These slopes are generally located along the
lower two thirds (2/3) of the road. The cut and fill slopes adjacent upper-most portion of Road F
are considered to be a part of the south facing slope of Mine 3.
Road G
Road G, which has been previously reclaimed, has approximately 4.3 acres cut slopes and
2.4 acres of fill slopes are subject to this Project. These discontinuous slopes exist along the
length of the road. Two difficult stream crossings will need to - made when traversing Road G.
These are located where Road G crosses Oil Well Creek and at the down stream crossing of
Coal Creek.
Measurement and Payment
Measurement and payment for this Task will be as the this Task is completed. Scarified areas
will be measured to the nearest 0.1 acre and paid at the unit price bid on the Bid Schedule Item
3. The price bid shall include all costs for labor, materials, equipment and all other items
necessary and incidental to accomplish slope scarification as described in these specifications.
Payment for this task will be made only for the unit price shown under Item 3 of the Bid
Schedule. Payment shall be as this task is completed and approved by the PROJECT
MANAGER.
10
