A revised Bid Schedule is attached. <br /> 2. Map 3,Project Area,was distributed at the Pre-Bid Meeting. <br /> 3. The Time of Completion will be forty-five(45)calendar days. The date of completion will be October 16, <br /> 1999. <br /> 4. Task 2,Demolition: Concrete buried at the refuse disposal area shall be covered by no less than three feet <br /> (3')of refuse material when disposal is complete. <br /> 5. Task 4,Road Grading:The Upper Sutey Access Road will not be reclaimed. The Lower Sutey Access <br /> Road shall be reclaimed in two(2)segments, Segment 1,which is the lower half of the road(from the <br /> intersection of the Main Sutey Access Road and Lower Sutey Access Road to the first switchback)and <br /> Segment 2,which consists of the upper half of the road(from the first switchback to the end of the road). <br /> Each roau segment will be reclaimed to the following specifications: <br /> Segment 1: This road segment will be backfilled so that the fill excavated from the outer portion of the <br /> roadway is filled against the inside road cut to a depth of four feet(4'). The backfilled slope created <br /> during this cut and fill operation shall not be steeper the 4H:1V. The cut and fill areas will be topsoiled <br /> (see Task 9,Topsoil Application and Surface Roughening),severely roughened and revegetated(Task 10, <br /> Revegetation). It.is estimated that three(3)corrugated metal culverts are located on this road segment. <br /> All culverts encountered along this road segment shall be excavated and removed from the site for <br /> disposal by CONTRACTOR at a licensed facility. The culvert excavation shall be backfilled and <br /> compacted prior to initiation of cut and fill operation. <br /> Segment 2: This road segment will be backfilled so that the fill excavated from the outer portion of the <br /> roadway is filled against the inside road cut to a depth of ten feet(10'). The backfilled slope created <br /> during this cut and fill operation shall not be steeper the 3H:1V. The cut and fill areas will be topsoiled <br /> (see Task 9,Topsoil Application and Surface Roughening),severely roughened and revegetated(Task 10, <br /> Revegetation). Access to this road segment from the Ditch 8 corridor, located immediately downhill from <br /> the upper most portion of the road,will not be available. <br /> 6. Task 8, Earth Work: It is estimated that 5,485 cubic yards of dirt will be placed on the coal refuse prior to <br /> placement of topsoil. <br /> 7. Task 8,Earth Work: As noted in the Bid Document, some demolished concrete exists on the surface of <br /> the north facing slope behind the coal refuse. It is probable that an additional,unknown volume of <br /> concrete debris is located under the exposed concrete,or immediately under the exposed dirt on the <br /> hillside. This material,when encountered,will be excavated and disposed of as require in task 2, <br /> Demolition. <br />
