A si lock concrete wall seals each mine entry about <br /> fifteen fee i <br /> nby the entry. The Corrugated metal may be cut <br /> adjacent to ighwall. The remaining entry area shall be <br /> backfilled using small diameter rubbelized debris from the <br /> demolition activities and with earthen materials. Extreme care <br /> will be exercised to ensure that the block walls are not damaged by <br /> backfilling operations. The mine entries will be filled from the <br /> block walls to the opening, and up to the roof with debris and <br /> earthen materials. <br /> 8) Hydro mulching and hydro seeding of the outslopes below Mine 4 <br /> and the Lower Bench Area and of the highwall backfills at each work <br /> area may be substituted in place of hand mulching and broad cast <br /> seeding. <br /> 9) Prior to application of seed and mulch to the outslopes below <br /> each work area bench, the outslopes shall be roughened and <br /> scarified. This may be accomplished by dragging a log or other <br /> suitable object across the outslope faces.
