JUN.30 '95 10:25AM DMG,6JCT 1 303 2410336 P.2 <br /> ` s k <br /> DATE: June 29, 1995 <br /> TO: All Bidders on Coal Basin/Mine 4 Reclamation Project <br /> FROM: Steve Renner, Project Manager <br /> RE: Amendment Number 1 to PKA-5-360 <br /> Thank you for attending the Pre-bid meeting_ The following <br /> amendments and clarifications should be incorporated into the <br /> Invitation for Bid: <br /> 1) The bid opening date is July 13, 1995 at 2:30 p.m. <br /> 2) The project is scheduled for construction between August 10, <br /> 1995 and October 2, 1995. The time of completion for the project <br /> is 53 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. This <br /> includes ten (10) days mobilization time. <br /> 3) The silt fencing to be installed shall be Mirafi silt Fence <br /> with Posts, or equivalent as approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. The <br /> silt fence fabric material shall be three (3) feet in width. Posts <br /> shall be spaced at 8.3 feat on center. Silt fencing shall be <br /> installed as per manufacturers specifications. <br /> 4) Foundations and other concrete or concrete block building <br /> remnants which shall be covered by a minimum of four (4) feet of <br /> material as a result of backfilling and grading operations do not <br /> need to be demolished and removed to the highwall for disposal, <br /> Some of the foundations and building remnants which are located <br /> near highwalls may be disposed of in place provided that a minimum <br /> of four (4) feet of earthen cover is placed over them as a result <br /> of the backfilling and grading operations contemplated in this <br /> Invitation to Bid. <br /> 5) Debris, trash and other materials encountered during the <br /> excavation of the bench outslopes shall be separated from the <br /> backfill materials and placed at the base of the highwalls with the <br /> concrete rubble and debris also placed in this location. All <br /> trash, debris and rubble shall be covered by a minimum of four (4) <br /> feet of earthen materials during backfilling operations. <br /> 6) The small bench and roadway located along the belt line <br /> corridor between the Mine 4 bench and the Lower Bench Area shall be <br /> graded to blend with adjacent topography. <br />
