PROJECT WORK DESCRIPTION Project Overview The goal of this project is to accomplish reclamation of the Mine 3 entry, the Intermediate Coal Transfer Area, and the Lower Bench Area. Mine 3 is located south of Mine 5, and drains to both Coal Creek and the North Fork of Dutch Creek. The Intermediate Coal Transfer Area and the Lower Bench Area are located east of the Mine 3 entry bench, and down slope from the bench (Map 3, Mine Plan Map). Mine 3 is approximately 4.5 miles from the main entry gate, and is accessed via Road F. This project will accomplish reclamation of the Mine 3 entry area through the demolition of concrete foundations, the removal of material from the mine bench outslopes and placement against the highwall. Reclamation of the Intermediate Coal Transfer Area and of the Lower Bench Area will consist of concrete demolition and disposal, excavation of material spoiled over the bench outslopes, and placement of this material against the highwalls. Additional grading work may be accomplished at these areas. All cut and fill areas, bench remnants and outslopes will be revegetated. Work Tasks The tasks included in the project are as follows: Task 1 : Mobilization and Demobilization Task 2: Demolition Task 3: Silt Fencing Task 4: Earthwork Task 5: Surface Drainage Task 6: Equipment Rental Task 7: Revegetation Task 8: Additional Surface Drainages Task 9: Additional Silt Fencing TASK 1 MOBILIZATION AND DEMOBILIZATION This task shall comply with Specification 1 .0, Mobilization/Demobilization, attached. TASK 2 DEMOLITION There are two overall objectives of the demolition task. The first is to demolish all concrete and block wall building remnants which remain at the Mine 3 entry area and remove the conveyor foundations between Mine 3 and the Lower Bench Area. The second is to place rubble produced by the demolition process against highwall remnants for burial. 6
