The subject area is roughly rectangular, 120 ft wide and 160 ft
long, for a total area of 19,200 sq ft, or 0.44 acres. Total 10 -yr
24 -hr rainfall accumulation in this area would be 0.088 acre -ft.
This area is protected by a berm with a minimum height of one foot,
with a gravel filter. Water flowing through the gravel filter
passes into the BAT pounds below the No. 4 mine.
Demonstration will be by sampling the next time water flows through
the bales.
