6.4.8 EXHIBIT H - Wildlife Information
The mining operator previously submitted a letter to the Colorado Division of Wildlife which
summarizes the proposed mining and reclamation activities and has received a response from the
CDOW summarizing its findings regarding impacts to wildlife from the proposed operations
(See Letters following). The mining operator presented that the impacts to wildlife due to
shallow topsoil removal are probably less than those normally associated with agricultural
activities such as periodic deep plowing and fallowing of the entire property. The CDOW
concluded that the impacts to wildlife resources based on the proposed mining and reclamation
phasing would be "negligible" and temporary.
