Box 177 <br /> Silverton, CO 81433 <br /> Re: Notice of Hearing Sunnyside Mine, Technical Revision TR-14 <br /> File No. N1-77-378 <br /> Dear Mr. Perino: <br /> On October 27, 1993 , the Division of Minerals and Geology <br /> (Division) scheduled the matter of a decision on Technical Revision <br /> TR-14 for a hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board <br /> (Board) . TR-14 was submitted by Sunnyside Gold Corporation (SGC) <br /> on March 22, 1993, and includes design details and impact <br /> characterization for the underground bulkhead seals that are a part <br /> of the approved reclamation plan for the Sunnyside Mine. <br /> A Formal Public Hearing will be held during the November 17-18, <br /> 1993 Board meeting to consider TR-14 and to issue a decision on the <br /> revision. The hearing will be held in Room 318 of 1313 Sherman <br /> Street, Denver, Colorado, beginning at 9: 00 a.m. or as soon <br /> thereafter as the matter can be considered and SGC will have the <br /> opportunity to be represented and heard. <br /> In accordance with Rule 2.3 . 1 (1) (c) of the Mineral Rules and <br /> Regulations, I have attached a summary of the issues raised by the <br /> Division' s review or in written comments filed with the Division. <br /> In accordance with Rule 2 . 3 . 3, the Division will send written <br /> notice of the hearing to all persons and agencies filing written <br /> comments on the revision application, and will publish notice in a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the locality of the mine once <br /> a week for two consecutive weeks immediately prior to the hearing. <br /> At the hearing the Division will recommend approval of TR-14 with <br /> conditions. These conditions have been agreed to by SGC, and are <br /> noted below. Please note that if TR-14 is approved by the Board, <br /> all other provisions of Permit No. M-77-378 will remain in full <br /> force and effect. <br /> COMMITMENT #1 <br /> THE OPERATOR UNDERSTANDS THAT ANY NEW SEEPS OR ANY CHANGES IN WATER <br /> QUALITY OR QUANTITY ISSUING FROM KNOWN SEEPS IN THE AREA OF THE <br /> SUNNYSIDE MINE, FOLLOWING THE INSTALLATION OF BULKHEAD SEALS IN THE <br />
