May 29, 2012 C- 1981- 044/Williams Fork Mines ZTT <br />NPDES 003. <br />The Mine No. 5 dewatering pump was operating at the time of the inspection. Ponds 5 -P5, 5 -P6 and 5 -P7 all held <br />water and was discharging from Pond 5 -P7 ( NPDES 003). All embankments' of Ponds 5 -P5, 5 -P6 and 5 -P7 were <br />stable and well vegetated. An undercut has formed along the northern embankment of Pond 5 -P7 and will need <br />maintenance to prevent further cutting. Rodent holes continue to be an issue along the Pond 5 -P5 embankments <br />and will need to be filled. Dead algae has built up in Pond 5 -P7 and may need cleared to ensure water quality is <br />maintained. <br />Dead algae buildup in Pond 5 -P7. <br />f ^ . <br />7 <br />Undercut on north embankment of Pond 5 -P7. <br />NPDES 022 was discharging a minimal amount at the time of inspections. <br />Ponds 5A -P 1, HR -P la, HR -P lb and SH -P2 were dry at the time of inspection.
