In addition to the <br />ground inspection on May 21, 2012, aerial photographs of the site were taken on May 21, 2012 and reviewed and <br />discussed herein. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS Rule 5.02.4(1): <br />Records were inspected on May 23, 2012, and found to be in compliance. See attached records checklist <br />for details. <br />FISH and WILDLIFE Rule 4.18: <br />There were two mallards on the water of Pond 012 and on Pond 014 and numerous songbirds in the <br />vicinity Ponds 010, 011, 012, and 014. There were two deer between Ponds 013 and 014. There were two <br />pronghorns east of the Pond 013 slide, and one each in the north pit and at the top of the neck pit. There was a <br />large jackrabbit in the north pit area, and a marmot near Pond 010. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage —Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />Ponds 010 and 012 were discharging clear water, Ponds 011, 011A, 013 and 014 held water below the <br />discharge level. Pond 012A was dry. ST -1 and the surge structure at the top of the neck pit were both dry. There <br />was a very low flow (trickle) through the northern underdrain of the Pond 012 slide; the main Pond 012 underdrain <br />was flowing about 10 -15 gpm. <br />The outslopes and spillways of all of the sediment ponds were stable and in good repair. <br />South area drainages were stable and in good repair.
