were surveyed by Schaaf and Associates (formerly West Elk Land Surveying). Pre- and post -
mining photographs were taken of the inside and outside of the cabin, as well as the ground
around it, to archive the general condition of the various structures and to document any change
after mining under this area. The horse stables appeared to be free of any significant cracks and
major damage in the foundation and structure. Conversely, the cabin had numerous cracks in the
foundation and walls. The cracks in the foundation were several inches long and extended below
ground level.
Z \Project Files \72 -99 \831- 032 \831 -032 793\Deliverables \Fall Report\Text\2011 Fall Subsidence Repoitdoc
831 - 032.793
May 2012
Fall 2011 Subsidence and Geologic Field Observations
Box Canyon, Apache Rocks, and South of Divide Mining Areas
Wright Water Engineers, Inc.
