1994 Annual Update
Page 2
Data Update Details :
- Included in the Appendix (B8 - B18) is updated data for sample
points in the area of interest from the Colorado Department of
Health - UPPER ANIMAS RIVER STUDY. This study ended with the
last sampling session being in July, 1993.
- Included in the Appendix are updated sample point maps.
- Additional sample points added and their description are:
o S-16 A small flow into Cement Creek exiting the bank at
flow-line . This point is located just above the culvert
where Cement Creek passes under Hwy. 110.
- Sample points deleted are all points in Poukeepsie Gulch as
agreed upon by DMG .
- Data Analysis:
In general, most sample points have been sampled during
presumed high flow (early summer) and presumed low flow
(fall ) . This flow has generally varied from higher to lower
(verifying this assumption) with the exception of a few sites
and adits where flow stayed constant . In general , most metal
concentrations have been relatively constant.
Tne 1994 data will in all likelihood be collected prior to
valve closure and in the next report a more thorough
comparison will be made. Flows of like seasons will be
compared as well as flows in general and metal concentrations
can be compared for average and variances.
- Conjunctive Flow of Cement Creek
No data has been developed and interpreted for submittal to-
date although wells have been drilled along two lines for
monitoring. A report will be submitted separately for DMG
approval of methodology. If approved, this data will become
a part of this report for the 1994 report year.
