EXHIBT H — Wildlife Information
Since this property is irrigated cropland that is reduced to bare soil every year, there are no
significant resources. The river corridor to the north is habitat to deer, foxes, coyotes, beaver,
waterfowl, eagles, hawks and other creatures that inhabit river bottom. The property is used by
rodents and birds and the predators that hunt them as the crops mature. It gets seasonal use by
geese feeding on the crop residue in winter. There are no known threatened or endangered
species that use the property. Impact to in the general area is expected to be minimal during
operations, since there are several other gravel operations within a two mile radius that have little
adverse effect on the wildlife other than avoiding those areas when there is noisy human activity.
The site will see a great increase in wildlife, including waterfowl, when reclamation is complete.
Warren Pit 2012
