WATER INFORMATION
EXHIBIT G
It is the operators intent is to minimize the disturbances
to the prevailing hydrologic balance of the affected land, of the
surrounding areas and to the quality and quantity of the surface
and ground water system, both during and after mining and recla-
mation. Tamrock Gravel LLC. believes they can operate in compli-
ance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing
water and water rights as they understand them. This is a dry
mining operation where no groundwater will be exposed therefore a
well permit and Temporary Substitute Supply Plan is not needed.
Because of the geographic features around the mine all offsite
runoff will be diverted around the disturbed area. In addition,
any surface runoff from the disturbed area will be retained on
site per a Stormwater Management Plan that will be prepared for
this mine. No stormwater will be retained on the site for more
then 72 hours.
Review of Division of Water Resources well permits in the
area around the site indicated the tops of the closest wells are
180+ feet below the deepest level of the mine. The ground water
table on the mine site has not been determined. It is estimated
dust control for the various parts of the operation, i.e. roads,
crushing, etc. to be 3 to 8 ac -ft per year. This water will be
obtained from a source approved for that use. The current plan
is to haul water from Trinidad as needed. The City of Trinidad
sells water from their municipal system that is suitable for the
mines needs. No water will be used for reclamation, nor will the
revegetated areas be irrigated.
26
