Dear Geoffrey:
This morning I received your letter dated March 12, 1999, requesting to review
documents identified in the Division of Minerals and Geology's March 8, 1999, responses to
your clients' discovery request. In your letter, you did not provide a specific date and time
for inspection. Rather, you state that your intent is that reviews will take place the week of
March 15 and you request to have the documents available, apparently for the entire week.
I spoke today with Steve Renner, the contact person in this matter in the Division's
Grand Junction office. The only available time for inspection of the requested documents
this week is Wednesday, March 17, 1999, 7:00 a.m to noon and/or 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Also,
please note that Steve will be out of the office the entire week of March 22.
As for the documents in Denver, Jim McArdle is the contact person. Upon 24 hours
notice, he can produce the documents in the Denver office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17 and Thursday, March 18, or in the morning of Friday,
March 19 before 11:00 a.m.
Please let me know as soon as possible whether the date for inspection of the Grand
Junction documents works for you, and also please provide the specific time and date out of
the ones given above that you can review the documents in Denver, keeping in mind that Jim
McArdle needs 24 hours of advance notice.
