If <br />any document cannot be located, it will be made available for <br />inspection at a mutually convenient time at the Division's <br />offices in Grand Junction and \or Denver. <br />25. If we read the DMG Reclamation Accounting <br />correctly, it appears $414,458 is projected for expenditure at <br />mine portal areas. Please state what this expenditure is for <br />by location, item and cost component. Are there documents <br />relating to this cost? If so, please attach a copy of such <br />document to your responses to these interrogatories or state <br />the circumstances under which these documents may be inspected <br />and /or copied. <br />Response: Objection: This interrogatory is unclear and <br />vague. The Division can not determine how your figure of <br />$414,458 was generated or what is specifically included in <br />that figure. The Division is therefore unable to respond to <br />this interrogatory. <br />26. Please state what, if any, topsoil or other <br />substitute material has been placed on the backfilled mine <br />portal areas. If none, please state upon what publications or <br />other authority you rely in your revegetation expectation. <br />Please state what your expectations are for revegetation <br />success at these areas and upon what publication or authority <br />this expectation relies. <br />Response: Topsoil has not been utilized at the <br />backfilled mine portals, because little if any is available. <br />In some cases, organic amendments have been incorporated into <br />the fill material to initiate the soil building process. <br />The Division has observed that this technique has been <br />successful at an Abandoned Mined Land Project in Coal Basin. <br />Pertinent documents relative to revegetation success <br />expectations include: <br />- Undated Intermountain Soils, Inc. Report contained in <br />Volume 8, Chapter V of the Mid - Continent Resources permit <br />15 <br />
