In 1994 as MCR prepared for the summer work season, DMG refused to approve that <br /> summer's proposed work and on or about July 18, 1994 it announced and took over Coal <br /> Basin reclamation work.M&E,/King salvage-scrapping-remediation work began in 1992 and <br /> has continued each work season since. DMG bond reclamation work began in 1995 and <br /> continued in the 1996 work season. <br /> 88. The area adjacent to the former coal preparation plant (Parcel 4, Answer <br /> Exhibit 3 p. 10) is used as the work area for the salvage/scrapping of equipment and mine <br /> improvements, accordingly, it will be the last area reclaimed. Defendants believe <br /> salvage/scrapping and reclamation operations will conclude with the 1997 work season. <br /> Coal Basin Parcels <br /> Ownership &Ad Valorem Taxes <br /> 89. MCR's Coal Basin and Pitkin County real property was described in the <br /> bankruptcy proceeding petition as Parcels 1-6;it is described in Answer Exhibit 3,attached <br /> hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Because these bankruptcy proceeding <br /> descriptions include the entirety of MCR's Coal Basin real property ownership some <br /> include lands in Gunnison County, Colorado. <br /> 90.
