These have <br /> been prepared from the daily time sheets kept by the reclamation crew. <br /> 2.3.1 Abatements - NoVs <br /> Notices of Violation written by the Division of Minerals and Geolcgy <br /> (DMG) prescribed the following work, which, was completed during fall of <br /> 1993. <br /> CC:22&-8 - Required that holes in the bottom of the Dutch Creek diversion <br /> flume be repaired to stop leakage. This had to be accomplished late in <br /> the season, at low flow. It entailed diversion of flows in Dutch Creek so <br /> that a cement mixture could be prepared to patch the holes. Note: while <br /> this accomplished to immediate purpose of Stopping the leaks, and thus <br /> met the requirement for abatement, considerable further work was done <br /> to ensure the competence of the structure through following winter and spring runoff season(s). <br /> C-9�_ 3-090. Required that the perimeter of the mine disturbed area be <br /> marked. Boundaries of mine were marked with spray paint. <br /> C-9�3-Q93. Required that terraces on the (,utey refuse disposal area be <br /> topsoiled, seeded and mulched. <br /> C-9-3-0�9A. Had cited sediment accumulations in various sediment ponds, <br /> which were cleaned as part of the fall maintenance. <br /> CC-93-09B. Required that an embankment along the channel of Dutch <br /> Creek be reinforced to prevent erosion by the stream. Lange boulders <br /> were transported to the site, then placed along the embankment <br /> Page 3 <br />
