FRGM : Panasonic TAD/FAX PHONE NO. 9454958 Mar. 07 1994 11:30AM PO4
 r
Cheryl A. Linden
March 2, 1994
Page 3
With respect to the sale of the Carbondale Industrial
Park, I believe we are now able to proceed with the offer from the
Town of Carbondale. I have been attempting to contact the Town's
attorney about a few minor details, and I hope to file the sale
motion next week. . The sale is for $1,125,000, but some funds,
probably in the range of $50,000 or less, will need to be expended
for environmental cleanup. There also are some real property taxes
to be cleared at time of sale.
We nonetheless expect the. gale.,q a:. ..Carbondale
Industrial Park to net about $1 million. Under_;the Plan, about
$700,000 of this amount would be payable to the MLRB for
reclamation and another $80,000 would be available for other
environmental remediation of the Mine Site.
The Carbondale Industrial Park, together with the
Rockdust Plant, thus should generate a total of $1.2 million which
would be available to be spent on reclamation this year. Resources
believes this exceeds the amount that can be reasonably expended
under any realistic reclamation schedule.
Very truly yours,
J s B. Holden
JBH/je
cc: Bob Delaney
Joel Cantrick
DeAnn Owen
