Task
Description
Time (months)
1
Remove diesel tank and generator.
1
2
Backfill and fence portals
2
3
Revegetated disturbed areas.
3
Total
1
1 5
of the access roads on the surface of the waste piles, and on marble fines pocket between the marble
blocks on the side of the waste piles.
Final Reclamation Timetable
2. Worst Case Reclamation Costs
Worst case reclamation occurs when mining ceases and reclamation begins immediately, and the
disturbance is the maximum possible over the mine's life. The current conditions match this description.
This includes closure of portals, revegetation of disturbed surface areas, and completion of permanent
sediment control structures. The table below represents a cost estimate of such work based on the
assumption that an independent contractor is hired to complete the work.
Topsoil import estimates are based on obtaining the topsoil from ranches or development sites on the
west side of McClure Pass and hauling the material to the site. The cost is based on a purchase price of
$7 /cubic yard and transporting it to the site for a cost of $5 per cubic yard.
Yule Quarry April 2012 45
