AngloGold Ashanti of South Africa, a very large company and it is hard for me to believe that you cannot
retrieve Wayne's remains. Every parent should be able to bury their child.
Consider this scenario, a person buys a large ranch and while touring his new property discovers a grave
site. Does this man have the right to disturb that grave — just because it is on his land? I believe in
Colorado the grave must remain in tact. I have researched the Colorado law and find that to be so.
Even our hero's bodies come home after there have been horrible wars and body parts are found.
The offer of a roadside memorial and transfer of the plaque at the site was a very nice gesture and I
appreciate it. However, a company as large as AngloGold Ashanti could certainly make an effort to
remove Wayne's remains and it would mean everything to my family and myself (I think that you and
CC &V would also be relieved to be able to put this issue to rest).
Mr. Largent, You seemed like a very nice and a caring person when I met you. 1 am appealing to you to
personally try and resolve this issue. I believe that my son Don and the rest of my family have acted
with integrity and consideration for your corporation when speaking with Ms. Mannon, Mr. DuBois and
the meala. I ao not want to look into the alternative or ootaining an attorney. I woulo like tnis to oe a
gentlemen's agreement between you and I, that Wayne's remains will be retrieved and we can bring
him home. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Janet A.
