NUCLA MINE <br /> PRELIMINARY ADEQUACY REVIEW <br /> February 3, 1987 <br /> Response to Comments <br /> Application Form <br /> Comment 1. <br /> RESPONSE: <br /> The 2.4 acre increase in permit area on the application for dated <br /> 11/21/86 does indeed reflect the topsoil stockpile located in the SEJ of <br /> Section 25. This area is private and is included in the 145.7 acres of <br /> affected area. The private land acreage listed as 2.7 acres was an <br /> editing error and should have been 2.4 acres. <br /> An additional 4.2 acres (private ground) has been added to the permit <br /> area to include a borrow area for the remedial work on Pond 006 as shown <br /> on revised Exhibit 12-1 being submitted with this response package. <br /> Since this borrow area (approximately 1.9 acres) is located in pre-law, <br /> unreclaimed spoil , there is no additional affected area associated with <br /> this activity. <br /> Thus , the additional permit area and private land for this Permit <br /> Revision, as shown on the attached revised application form is 6.6 <br /> acres. Total permit acres total 426.6. <br /> Comment 2. <br /> RESPONSE: <br /> Please find attached to this response package a fully executed <br /> application form for a Permit to Conduct Coal Mining in Colorado. It is <br /> understood that this form is being supplied as an update to the form <br /> executed on 4-9-1980 and that the application form for a Revision to a <br /> Coal Mining and Reclamation Permit, dated 11-21-1986 is the formal <br /> application for this Permit Revision. <br /> 1 <br />
