2 . 05 . 2 Page 2
MINE WORKINGS
Map C-3 shows the existing mine workings within the current
Federal and private lease boundaries . Superimposed above the
workings , the surface topography has been drawn in for correla-
tion purposes between the surface and the underground workings .
Mining projections of future panel development are also shown
on Map C-3 .
FEDERAL COAL LEASE
National King Coal , Inc . has acquired a modification to
Lease C-29125 , as shown on Map C-3 , with the expected mining
projections . Acquiring the modification does not extend the life
of the mine , but replaces unmineable reserves in present leases .
(See report from Fred Johnson, C.P.G. , dated November 17 , 1988 in
Section 2 . 03 . 8 ) .
Map X-002 shows current mine workings within boundaries of
the two Federal Leases now held by National King Coal , Inc. ,
including modification. Map X-002A shows proposed mining within
boundaries of the two private leases acquired in 1989 .
Rev. 1/17/90
