No other support
facilities were inspected.

SIGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02:
The mine ID and blasting signs at the main mine entrance were found to be in com pliance.

Perimeter markers were observed in the East Pyeatt drainage and found to be in compliance.

TOPSOIL – Rule 4.06 Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3;
Redistribution 4.06.4:
Topsoil stripping was n ot occurring at Trapper Mine during the inspection.

The following topsoil piles were inspected: A1 -08, ASH -10, D93 -1, D97 -1, E94 -1, E94 -2, HRS, H93 -2, JG -7, JG -
8, and Z1 -09.

Several of the piles contained cheat grass. This will continually be monitor ed as part of TMI’s weed management
plan. Other weeds were observed (e.g., Russian thistle) and shall be monitored and sprayed as appropriate.

In May 2011, several issues requiring maintenance and/or monitoring by TMI were identified:
• Markers are mis sing or need to be repaired at piles ASH -10, A92 -1 (north side), D93 -1 (north end), D97 -
1, E94 -1, E94 -2, JG -7 (west side), and JG -8.
• Rills were observed on the north side of A1 -08.
• Animal burrows, which should be filled, were found on E94 -2 and JG -7.
• Two piles have no vegetation and require seeding: ASH -10 and Z1 -09.
• Z1 -09 is very steep and requires grading.
• Several other piles are generally vegetated but contain significant bare spots: A1 -08, CG -1, D93 -1, E94 -2,
and Z2 -07. This issue sh ould be monitored, and, if necessary, reseeding should be conducted.

To follow up on the issues identified in May, the following observations were made during the September 21,
2011 inspection.

Animal burrows have been filled in on E94 -2 and JG -7.

Wor k has been performed on Z1 -09. Some of the pile has been moved away from the power line. Per Billy
Nicholson more will be completed in the next week, and the remainder of the work will be completed in 2011.
The work slated for the near future entails hau ling approximately 80,000 cubic yards to F Pit (the pile currently
contains approximately 125,000 cubic yards per Mr. Nicholson). Later this year, the remainder will be hauled to
the Horse Gulch Fill and some will be used on the reclamation area immediate ly adjacent to the pile.
