March 28, 2012 C- 1996 - 083 /Bowie No. 2 Mine BFB <br />main access haul road was in good condition and well maintained. The access road to the upper utility bench was <br />in good condition. The county road leading the Hubbard Creek Fansite had numerous large rocks in the road. <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />Bill Bear consulted with Webb Callicutt, Delta County Weed Coordinator, and created a treatment plan <br />for the cheatgrass (Bromus tectorum) on the topsoil stockpiles. Two weeks prior to this inspection, the grass duff <br />and cheatgrass was burned on topsoil stock pile A and Gob Pile 43 topsoil stockpile and coverfill stockpile. A <br />follow -up chemical treatment will take place later in the season. No cheatgrass was seen in the burn treated areas. <br />The Hubbard Creek Fansite was reclaimed last fall. At the time of this inspection no vegetation was sprouting in <br />the reclamation area (photo 1). The Dove Gulch Road reclamation was covered with large mulch and had <br />vegetation sprouting. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />The shaft for the Terror Creek Ventilation Shaft is bored. A footing was being constructed for the <br />equipment need to line the shaft with concrete. It is expected to take 3 months to line the bore hole. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />Several disturbance boundary markers have been knocked over and need to be reset. A topsoil stockpile <br />sign is on the gob pile 42 east cover fill stockpile.
