West Elk submitted an engineering summary report, a plan view and as -built drawings for <br />the HR -1 slide area but did not provide a slope stability analysis for the reconstructed slope. <br />Please provide a slope stability analysis for the reconstructed slope at the HR -1 slide <br />area. <br />5. There was a third, small slide below (north of) the HR -1 slide, just south of Colorado <br />Highway 133, that occurred when remediation work for the HR -1 slide was almost <br />complete. The remediation for this slide included excavating the slide material, installing a <br />French drain system to drain the slide area and reconstructing the slope. However, there is <br />no information regarding the remediation of this slide included in the TR -128 submittal. <br />Please submit an as -built drawing of the slide area, a plan view of the French drain <br />that was installed, an engineering report detailing the work completed, a slope <br />stability analysis, a calculated factor of safety and compaction data for this lower slide <br />area. <br />This completes the Division's incompleteness review for the West Elk Mine's Technical Revision <br />128.
