October 18, 2011 C -1980 -001 /Edna Strip Mine JHB <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Pa rtial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 3 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1 <br /> <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ROADS – Rule 4.03 Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) Surfacing and <br />Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> Repairs to the North access road and Moffat pond access road have held up well. The area received <br />precipitation the preceding weekend, and some ponding was observed on the portions of the access roads. Some <br />minor ruttin g had occurred from the hunting access on the damp roads. This rutting is not mining related. <br /> <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br /> The mine site remains stable and well vegetated. No erosional features were encountered as a result of <br />precipitation events. T he vegetation has dried down as expected during late fall. No concerns were identified <br />during this inspection. <br /> <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br /> The permanent buildings, warehouse/office, appear to be functioning as a staging location for post -mining <br />land use of hunting activities (consist e nt with wildlife habitat). <br /> <br /> <br />DOCUMENTS RECEIVED NA <br />OTHER (SPECIFY) <br />
