SECTION 2.06.6 <br />PRIME FARMLANDS <br />1. Introduction <br />In February 2008, the NRCS ruled that soils 98A and 98E could be considered prime farmland soils <br />if adequatewater wasavailable for irrigation.Since thesesoils werein the process of being <br />stripped on the Morgan property at that time, it was decided that an immediate change in the soil <br />handling procedures wasneeded to address thesesoils. This wasdone andafter technical <br />adequacy,TR-57 wasapproved in 2009 to address these soil handling issues. <br />Since allprime farmland issueshave been addressed in othersectionsof the permit, this Section <br />2.06.6 willaddress allprime farmland requirementsby demonstrating where in the permit eachof <br />those issuesare located. <br />2.Prime Farmland Requirements <br />Table 2.06.6-1 below demonstrateswhere all Rule 2.06.6 requirements are addressed. <br />(Revised June2010) <br />
