rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Extraction <br />of Construction Materials," Amended May 2004, under Page 11 within Construction <br />Materials Rule 1: witch states that, "Structure, Significant, Valuable and Permanent <br />Man -made means a non - portable improvement to real property which has defined, <br />current and recognizable value of an economic nature; generally including but not <br />limited to: buildings, houses, barns, fences, above or below ground utilities, irrigation <br />ditches, maintained or public road, railroad tracks, cemeteries, communication <br />antennas, pipelines, water wells, water storage structures, discharge and <br />conveyance structures, etc." <br />All man made structures will be addressed in the DIVISION OF <br />RECLAMATION, MINING AND SAFETY MLRB Permit. Please see the <br />attached exhibits for details. A copy of "Mineral rules and Regulations of the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Extraction of Construction <br />Materials," Amended May 2004 can be found at the DIVISION OF <br />RECLAMATION, MINING AND SAIiEI'Y website at www. <br />mining.state.co.us. <br />15.) 13.44 acres are proposed for this 112c Permit for an open pit mining operation. <br />16.) Affected acres may be a total of 13.44 acres; reclamation will be carried out on <br />all of the affected land. Please see attached mining and reclamation maps. <br />17.) Proposed hours of operation are from Sunrise to Sunset Monday- Saturday. <br />18.) Estimated life of operation is difficult to forecast, however we believe this mine <br />will have an economic Life of 7 to 10 years depending on the local market <br />conditions. <br />19.) Main shift employees will be between 3 to 6 people depending upon the time of <br />the year and the number of orders that are to be filled. <br />20.) The proposed haul route would be out of the mine site on to CR 15 then to the <br />shipping address. <br />21.) The number of vehicle trips maximum per day would be on average of 16 to 20. <br />A trip is defined in this application follows : "A vehicle leaving the pit and then <br />returning counts as two trips. Thus if the operator has 4 trucks hauling making 2 <br />round trips per day that would be 8 loads out and 8 return trips to be loaded. The <br />total trips would then be 16." <br />22.) Hours of hauling would depend upon the time of the year, however it would <br />normally start around 6:00 A.M. and run to approximately 6:00 P.M. during <br />operation. <br />23.) Dust control will be accomplished with water trucks on the haul road and the <br />processing plant site. <br />24.) Proof of Water: <br />a. Bottled water will be brought in for drinking water. <br />b. Water for the use of dust control will be purchased water form an approved <br />legal source. <br />25.) Portable - temporary toilet will be provided for the employees use. <br />
