Colorado 80172 <br />Union Pacific Railroad, Green River, WY <br />Performed soil inventory, vegetation survey, and Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation <br />hydrologic stability characterization on a trona waste dump facility. <br />GRAZING LAND MANAGEMENT: <br />Developed and supervised the implementation of a high intensity livestock grazing systems on <br />reclaimed pastures. The grazing plans resulted in improved vegetation performance and <br />reduced post -mine management costs. <br />The Pittsburg & Midway Coal Mining Co., Midway Mine, KS and MO. <br />Post - Mining Land Management, Developed and supervised the implementation of a high <br />intensity, rotational livestock grazing system on 10,000 acres of reclaimed cool and warm season <br />pastures. Grazing management resulted in improved vegetation growth and diversity while <br />reducing post -mine management costs. <br />SOIL AND OVERBURDEN SUITABILITY <br />Evaluate and test soil and overburden suitability for potential plant growth materials in <br />Kentucky, Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas and Wyoming. Develop and implement acid - forming <br />and toxic - forming material handling plans. Design and implement sampling plans to identify <br />plant growth limiting materials including burned and hydrophobic soils, high coarse fragment <br />contents, steep slopes, acid, seleniferous, sodic and saline materials. <br />R.A.G. Shoshone Coal Corporation, Hanna, WY. <br />Plan and implement the collection, analysis, and interpretation of minesoil and spoil resources <br />to determine soil amendments necessary for successful revegetation and site stability and <br />Wyoming DEQ /LQD suitability parameters. <br />The Pittsburg & Midway Coal Mining Company, York Canyon Mining Complex, Raton, NM. <br />Plan and implement the collection, analysis, and interpretation of baseline soil and overburden <br />resources to determine soil amendments necessary for successful revegetation and site stability. <br />Triton Coal Company, Buckskin Mine, Gillette, WY. <br />Prepared topsoil handling and alternate topsoil material suitability plans to significantly reduce <br />soil material handling. <br />Central and South West Services, Dolet Hills Mine, Mansfield, LA and Sabine Mine, Marshall, TX. <br />Evaluated, designed and obtained federal and state approval for the use of oxidized overburden <br />material as a topsoil substitute.
