Skies were completely clear, the temperature <br />was warm, and a light breeze was blowing. <br />PERMITTING UPDATE: <br />SL -03 The application for final bond release was deemed complete for purposes of filing on 28 <br />February 2012. A bond release inspection will be scheduled for later this spring. <br />RN -04 A response to the Division's adequacy concerns was received from J.E. Stover & <br />Associates on 24 February 2012. AVS questions are being resolved, and a minor revision <br />(MR -12) was submitted as requested. The Division is currently completing the review <br />process. <br />MR -12 The Division approved this revision on 22 March 2012. The Legal, Financial, <br />Compliance and Related Information section and the groundwater monitoring plan were <br />updated to address adequacy questions raised in SL -03 and RN -04. <br />FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18: <br />• Deer and elk prints were thick throughout the reclaimed areas at Mining Area No. 1 and <br />Mining Area No. 3. <br />• Two mule deer were spooked by my approach at the top of the road leading to Pond B, and a <br />small herd of approximately 10 deer was sighted in the trees at the northwest corner of <br />Mining Area No. 1 (Photo 1). <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 6 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3 Page 2 of 5 <br />
