March 20, 2012 C- 1981 - 044 /Williams Fork Mines ZTT <br />cleared this coming spring and summer. <br />The Mine No. 5 dewatering pump was operating at the time of the inspection. Ponds 5 -P5, 5 -P6 and 5 -P7 all held <br />water and was discharging from Pond 5 -P7 (NPDES 003). All embankments' of Ponds 5 -P5, 5 -P6 and 5 -P7 were <br />stable and well vegetated with no signs of erosion. Since repairing burrows along the embankments of 5 -P7, <br />additional burrows have been created along Pond 5 -P5 and will need to be repaired. <br />Sedimentation Ponds SH -P2, 9 -P6, 5A -P 1, HR -P 1 a all held minimal water with no discharge. Embankments were <br />well vegetated with no signs of erosion or stability issues. <br />Sedimentation Ponds 9 -P5, HR -Plb, 5 -P1 and 5 -P3 were all dry. Embankments were well vegetated with no signs <br />of erosion or stability issues. <br />Culvert 7 at the intersection of the portal Haul Road and Brazel Simms road has been partial crushed and will need <br />maintenance. Culvert 34 and 50 are partially filled with sediment and will need to be cleaned. Brian Watterson <br />mentioned that all culverts in need of maintenance will receive it this spring. <br />All other culverts inspected were clear and stable. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE: <br />The non -coal waste pile remains clear of all non -mine related debris. <br />OTHER (SPECIFY): <br />The repair work to the railroad spur bridge remains stable. No additional head cutting from the river was noted <br />during the inspection.
