2012 <br />ORLANDO PIT CONVERSION TO 112c <br />Section III <br />Ecological Site Information <br />The plant community of the gravel pit area is a mix of grasses and forbs primarily with <br />some shrub species. Grasses account for 75 -85% of the plant community while shrubs <br />and forbs make up the balance. The grasses commonly present on this site include <br />little bluestem, blue grams, western wheatgrass, Indian ricegrass, needle and thread, <br />green needlegrass, prairie junegrass, big bluestem, sand drnpseed and bottlebrush <br />snuirreltait. <br />Forbs and shrub community commonly occurring are: broom snakeweed, winterfat, <br />fringed sagebrush, fourwing saltbush, Indian paintbrush, rose pussytoes purple <br />prairieclover and other assorted forts may be present. <br />
